La mostra prende forma come una relazione a distanza con la comunità di Toast. Presenze umane e non umane – cani inclusi. Il senso del luogo e della compagnia si fa incerto. Personale costruita attorno a due lavori inediti che si misurano con l’identità e la storia espositiva dello spazio. Cecilia Mentasti (Varese, 1993) è un’artista visiva e art-worker. Ha studiato pittura presso l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera e si è formata come registrar. Ha co-fondato l’artist-run space BRACE BRACE. Per Anonima Kunsthalle ha realizzato Varese, una ricerca sulla forza politica della periferia. Vive tra Cagno (CO) e Milano. We are disturbed by what we love. From this perspective, gentle interventions emerge. The languages of love, care, and memory are stretched. The exhibition unfolds as a long-distance relationship with the Toast community, encompassing both human and non-human presences, dogs included. In this context, the sense of place and companionship becomes ambiguous. The solo show features two new works that engage with the identity and exhibition history of the space. Cecilia Mentasti (Varese, 1993) is a visual artist and art-worker. She studied painting at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts and trained as a registrar. She is co-founder of the artist-run space BRACE BRACE. For Anonima Kunsthalle, she developed Varese, a research project on the political force of the periphery. She lives between Cagno (CO) and Milan.
