Sidereus Nuncius
A photographic project exploring the subtle relationship between the sensuality of the flesh and the simulacra of the body. An element of psychological unease blends with a state of feverish materiality and sensory restlessness. In this atmosphere, the body imprints itself in its nakedness onto the film: slowly, the eye comes to own these images—these bodies eternally exposed yet never truly understood, described, or observed. It is an exploration of the nuances of the classical and the various synesthetic sensations experienced when the mind encounters unknown horizons.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a soundscape created by Mattia Dambrosio, Manu Lester, and Manuel Zoetrope of the collective Armonika Party, with a performance by Ucronia Project curated by Isabella Cozza and Matilde Giampieri.
