“The Hardcore Football” investiga le appropriazioni locali del del football dream internazionale: dalla cultura pop mainstream a certe forme intime, comunitarie, vernacolari. Una manifestazione sportiva che, sorretta da strutture commerciali, finisce per trasformarsi in una mitologia su toni tribali, scandita da liturgie da stadio, superstizioni, feste e bar come luoghi di culto. Il calcio all’italiana è un frullato hardcore.

“The Hardcore Football” investigates the local appropriations of the international football dream: from mainstream pop culture to certain intimate, communal, vernacular forms. A sporting event that, supported by commercial structures, ends up transforming into a mythology with tribal tones, punctuated by stadium liturgies, superstitions, parties and bars as places of worship. Italian football is a hardcore smoothie.
