KUNST @via.roma.venti is pleased to present tracce di stOria, a solo exhibition by visual artist Jacqueline Ferrante. Created during her October residency, this collection of artworks captures the textures of Oria’s historical surfaces — its Roman columns, weathered walls, and forgotten structures — each piece a layered reflection of the city’s past and present.
Using raw, natural materials sourced locally — such as charcoal, coffee, wine, pomegranate, and mineral pigments from Cava di Bauxite — Jacqueline has created site-specific imprints that reveal Oria’s architectural and cultural memory. The works invite viewers to see the city anew, tracing a connection between its storied heritage and its ever-changing landscape.
Jacqueline Ferrante is a visual artist from New York, residing in Puglia. Her work investigates the physicality of place and the passage of time, grounding her practice in an intimate, tactile exploration of overlooked and weathered surfaces. Each piece in tracce di stOria offers an imprint of the materials and surroundings she encountered, inviting reflection on the deep histories embedded in the urban fabric.
