IL DEMONE SULLE SPALLE

Société Interludio is pleased to present ‘Il demone sulle spalle’, a solo exhibition by the painter Andrea Barzaghi (1988).
The exhibition includes unpublished works created from 2022 onwards: a production that was at times painful, vacillating, made up of long pause ìs and silence juxtaposed to endless painting session. What has survived from this period has found new freshness ans impulsiveness in its failures. It is not an instinct driven by chanche but one steered by the demon perched on his shoulders.
Barzaghi represents his daiamon and listens to its whispers, that motivate and protect, that invent and insist with stubborn fidelity: now this mystical presence appears on and accompanies the artist along the most tortuous paths of painting.
