Le 3:17

Galleria Eugenia Delfini is pleased to present Le 3:17, Lucia Leuci’s first solo exhibition at the gallery. The show brings together new works in bronze and acrylic drawings, through which the artist explores darkness as a perceptual threshold, the night as an unstable territory, and the fluid relationship between domestic space and urban landscape.

The research stems from a condition of insomnia, in which perception is altered by the half-sleep state: shadows amplify and thoughts take on an unstable consistency. In this liminal state, the distinction between interior and exterior fades until it dissolves; home and city overlap, generating a single mental landscape.

Architectures bend, interiors open up and dissolve into the outside; the familiar takes on an alienating quality. Ordinary elements lose their original function and become transitional devices, thresholds through which the everyday expands and redefines itself.

Night thus takes shape as a perceptual condition: an unstable field in which spatial and symbolic coordinates are continuously redefined. Artificial light, cold and urban, filters into domestic spaces, generating visual short-circuits between interior and exterior and unveiling a constant tension.

In dialogue with the work of Antonio Moresco and the imagery of Marracash, darkness emerges as a space to be traversed, a shifting boundary between concealment and revelation. The bronze sculptures and acrylic drawings translate this condition into essential and layered forms, in which opposites coexist in an unstable equilibrium. The individual experience thus opens onto a broader dimension, reflecting the tensions and dynamics of the present.

In Le 3:17, darkness is not negation but possibility: a generative space where uncertainty takes form and structures are left deliberately suspended.
