RDV n. 2

Michela Rossetti and Bianca D’Ippolito are pleased to present RDV n. 2, the second chapter in a series of encounters born from the discovery of a place and the desire to articulate a shared vision.
Situated at the intersection of artistic creation, architecture, and photographic documentation, RDV n. 2 is an invitation to observation and imagination, fostering dialogue between different practices and perspectives. It is conceived as a moment for sharing the pleasure of discovery and a thoughtful approach to transmission.
The project brings together artists, photographers, connoisseurs, and amateurs through a journey that unfolds within an uninhabited apartment in the heart of Milan, dating back to the first half of the twentieth century. A space that still bears the marks of its former inhabitants, it now exists in a state of suspension, on the threshold of an imminent renovation. Traces of old books and large wooden furniture remain on the walls; the wallpaper retains the imprints of paintings and mirrors.
The apartment is devoid of furnishings, aside from a few antique wrought-iron chandeliers interspersed with more recent plastic elements. Emptied boudoirs, rusted nails, disused systems, and long suspended electrical cables all attest to a transformation in progress. RDV n. 2 unfolds at a precise moment, suspended between a past that has not entirely vanished and a future yet to begin. To capture this transitional state, the curators invited Andrea Gilberti to photograph the space and interpret their vision. The resulting body of work conveys the apartment’s spectral atmosphere, its dusty light, and the secrets it holds. The project continues with an installation of artworks engaging with ideas of transition and displacement. Luca Campestri presents images that we would not ordinarily encounter, were it not for the artist’s intrusion into nocturnal settings and his photographic rendering of a state in flux. Valerio Di Fiore’s sculptures appear as living organisms attached to the walls, as though they had long been present and were resisting transformation. Deborah Graziano intervenes with anthropomorphic forms that remain partially undefined, suspended in a process of transformation and a constant temporal tension. RDV n. 2 unfolds through a series of invitation-only visits, conceived as moments of encounter and exchange. An editorial publication will bring together texts and photographs documenting the site’s initial condition, the installation of the artworks, and the visits that animated the project.

“Between fashion, architecture, art, and design, we believe that each discipline nourishes the others. It is in their encounters—in the frictions and productive shifts they generate—that what truly interests us emerges. We seek to explore and give form to our visions by placing them in dialogue with different disciplines. Our research takes shape through occasional encounters, held in lived-in spaces, through temporary installations. We enjoy revealing the spirit of places and those who inhabit them, welcoming friends, sharing ideas, and fostering new relationships.
