SOUVENIR·SUBVENIRE

SMDOT/Contemporary Art is delighted to present the two-person exhibition “SOUVENIR · SUBVENIRE”, showcasing new works by Anna Marzuttini and Giovanni Fredi, two Italian artists united by a creative practice which, whilst expressed through different media, converges on the same conceptual plane. Anna Marzuttini’s large canvases and wall-mounted ceramics engage in a close dialogue with Giovanni Fredi’s photographic prints and interactive installation, creating a unified and coherent exhibition experience. At the heart of the exhibition lies a shared reflection: the need to restore Nature to its rightful primary role, recognising it not merely as a backdrop or resource, but as a complex and primordial system in which we are immersed. The works invite the viewer to reconsider their own position, suggesting a shift in perspective.
