Ogni Cosa Intatta

Ogni Cosa Intatta is an exhibition presented by Hypermaremma at the Archaeological Park of the Ancient City of Cosa in Ansedonia as part of HYPERESIDENCIES, a six-month residency programme involving four artists and two curators.
Curated by Chiara Serranti and Giulia Tentellini, the exhibition brings together works by Iva Drekalovic, Yuxiang Wang, Maria Ludovica Gugliotta and Marie Anne Hervé, weaving contemporary art, archaeology and landscape into a shared exploration of the site.
The title reflects on the idea of permanence. It takes the ancient city of Cosa as its starting point, extending to all that the site continues to preserve: its ruins, landscape, memory and the layers of meaning accumulated over time.
Here, intatta evokes continuity through change: the capacity to endure across centuries while retaining a distinct identity. Memory persists, as do myths, scents, the sound of the sea and the ritual and symbolic dimensions that continue to animate this landscape.
The archaeological park plays an active role in the exhibition. The works respond to the site, drawing out its evocative power and opening up new possibilities for interpretation. The ruins speak of the past, while the works question the present. Together, they reveal the enduring vitality of a place that continues to generate meaning.
HYPERESIDENCIES is a project entirely funded by the Tuscany Region through the 2021-2027 FSE+ Regional Programme, as part of the Public Notice approved by Executive Decree No. 28520/2024. It is included within Giovanisì, the Tuscany Region’s project supporting young people’s independence.
