Some photographs capture an era, while others, even decades later, still manage to bring it to life. Jim Saah’s photographs belong to both categories. A photographer and firsthand witness to the Washington, D.C., hardcore scene, Saah has captured legendary bands such as Minor Threat, Faith, and Void, as well as Iggy Pop, Sonic Youth, the Ramones, and Lou Reed.
On the occasion of the only Italian stop on his European tour, Jim will present In My Eyes, Photographs 1982–1997, published in a new European edition by King Koala Press—bilingual in English and Japanese—featuring exclusive content, including an interview with Ian MacKaye. The evening will feature a discussion with the author and a special focus on Salad Days: A Decade of Punk in Washington, DC (1980–90). Following the event, there will be a meet-and-greet, a book signing, and an opportunity to purchase the book.
Admission requires a LITO annual membership card, which can be purchased online or on-site. Vegetarian food boxes and specialty drinks will be available.
